At the end of 1990 the importance of constructing a school building in Mirpur Cantonment was realize by the Army authority for imparting education among the descendants of Army and civil members working in Mirpur Cantonment. According to this initially Cantonment Board High School, Mirpur started its work under the direction of DML&C and under the control of Dhaka Cantonment Board in the 1st January, 1991 in two small building near Mirpur Cantonment. It was near Chakulli village JL no-214 a part of CS demarcation no 88. Later in 1993 and 1994 clall IX and X were opened respectively with the permission of Boar of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka. As it has no land of its own classes are conducted in the building of Govt. Primary school. Class works of Govt Primary School are held in morning shift from 8am to 12 am and Cantonment Board High School’s Classes are held in Day Shift from 12am to 4.55 pm.
